Trisha Krishnan started her career as a supporting actress in the Tamil film industry in an uncredited role with Simran and Prashanth in Jodi. She played one of the friends of Simran. She was seen in some TV commercials after her debut. In 2002, she played her first lead role with Suriya Sivakumar in Mounam Pesiyadhe.
