She entered into the Malayalam film industry through the 1986 movie “Gandhinagar 2nd Street” starring the megastar Mohanlal and Karthika. The film was remade in Tamil which was named “Annanagar Mudhal Theru” and in Telugu as “Gandhinagar Rendo Veedhi”. Neena played a very small in the movie. Neena played the character named “Aswathy” who is the cousin of the hero “Sreedharan”, the character played by Mammootty. Aswathy is an educated girl who is rude and doesn’t like her relatives. The character was well carried off by Neena’s acting skills though she was a newcomer. She has acted in a few Tamil and Telugu movies also. She did more than 15 films in Malayalam in which her character in the movie “Punjabi House” was clicked. It was a musical comedy movie in Malayalam which was released in the year 1998.
