Then she got wedded. Later she did various roles, including working in ads on TV's, anchoring shows, associating with inspirational lectures, and dubbing. Her debut film was the Tamil flick Minsara Kanavu, during the year 1997. Here she enacted the role of a nun. She also worked in the 1998 flick Jeans as Aishwarya Rai’s mother. She has over 25 films to her credit.
