It is rare to see hear of a movie’s box office performance pushing forward the OTT release date. But in the case of ‘Amaran’, it has. Based on the life and sacrifices of Major Mukund Varadarajan, the movie has impressed the audiences throughout the nation, and is on the verge of becoming the first blockbuster for Tamil cinema in 2024, with a collection of nearly 300 crores worldwide over a budget of 150 crores.

After multiple requests from movie exhibitors, the makers of ‘Amaran’ are contemplating on postponing the OTT release, initially proposed by the end of November, for a few more weeks.
