Vairamuthu is a very famous Tamil writer, poet, and lyricist. His full name is Vairamuthu Ramasamy. He was born on 13th July 1953. He was born in a middle-class family to Ramasamythevar and Angammal in Mettur. His family moved to Vadugapatti, Theni in Tamil Nadu when he was four years old. He is famous by the pen name Kaviyarasu or Kaviperarasu. He got inspiration from the Tamil and Rationalist movements in the 1960s that enthused him to pursue a career as a writer. He graduated from Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai. As a speaker and a poet, he was highly praised as the best in his college.

His first publication was an initial anthology Vaigarai Megangal in the mere age of nineteen years. His writings were taken in the syllabus of Women's Christian College, and he received the distinction of a student whose publication was accepted as a program of study while he was studying himself. In 1979, his next work was published. The second publication written by Vairamuthu Ramasamy was Thiruthi Ezhuthiya Theerupugal in free verse. His first film debut as a lyricist was in the movie Nizhalgal by Bharathiraja in 1980. His career as a Tamil lyricist took flight through the Tamil movie Soolam in 1980. N T Rajkumar is a Tamil writer, lyricist, singer and actor in the Tamil film industry. The debut movie of N T Rajkumar is Madhubaanakadai in which he was the lyricist, singer and also an actor. He is famous for his writing and poems in the Tamil language. One of the influences for N T Rajkumar to get interested in starting writing was his friend. This friend was a writer himself, and once when N T Rajkumar asked for the meaning of one of his friend's poems, he insulted N T Rajkumar saying it is beyond his intelligence. This incident made N T Rajkumar learn about this field. He wanted to give writing a try, and so for preparation, he started reading many books. He started reading Dravidian, Sangu and Marabhu novels to widen his knowledge about the language. N T Rajkumar's father played an important role in helping him understand and guided him. His father also gave him many epic books of writers Thirumoolar, Sidhas, Arunapurinaadhar, Masthan Sahib and many more. After reading all these, he started writing on his own. The poems of N T Rajkumar are based on a wide variety of topics. It can be recited in any platform. Most of his poem's concepts are influenced by the oppression of the Dalit community and talks about their freedom. N T Rajkumar says that his ballads are results of his expression of pain on various issues including Dalits, community problems, and other problems. The style of N T Rajkumar's poetry is different from the previous authors and poets. He experimented on this new method of mixing everyday colloquial words with the archaic ones. N T Rajkumar feels that his writing has not received as much appreciation as he thinks he deserves. He was given awards like Arandhai Erimalai Narayanan Award and Lilly Sriramani Award. N T Rajkumar is disappointed that his poems are not getting recorded and given any awards in the Tamil industry. The family of N T Rajkumar is a family of medicines. K S Gopalakrishnan

K S Gopalakrishnan is an Indian director, screenwriter, lyricist and producer. He is done his contribution in Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil industry. He has been in the industry since the 1960s and has worked in more than 70 movies. Along his whole career, he was known for his direction and contribution in the movie which had a devotional or social theme in it. He was born in Tamil Nadu. His father was Shri K. Srinivasan Naidu, and he was their eighth son. When he was five years old, a deadly disease grew in the state leaving him his sister and brother alone. He lost bis parents in the disaster. He and his brother K.S. Sabarinathan then took shelter in Shri Nawab Rajamanickam Pillai. They were running a drama company. Over there they learned different languages, acting, music and literature. His guru was Nawab in the institute. They performed in many of his plays which were mainly based on the storyline and ideas of freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru, Rajaji. They would perfume these plays to the audience and spread the ideas of these leaders and the idea of freedom in them. After being a part of the Nawab’s group for nineteen years, he later joined Sri Devi Nataka Sabha. Over there he used to write plays for them. His famous contributions over there were “EZHUTHALAN” (writer) and “POST-MAN”, “THAMBI” (younger brother). Later he moved to Madras and started workings as lyricists in Tamil movies. He worked under the guidance of N.S.Krishnan, Udumalai Narayana Kavirayar, Kalaivanar. He even started assisting Shri Sridar in his movies. They both worked in various successful movies. Deivapiravi was his first movie for which he wrote dialogues and did its screenplay. The movie was produced by M/S. Kamal Brothers. His later movies were “Padikkatha Medhai’, Ellam Unakkaha, Kai Rasi and many more. He moved into direction with Sarada in the year 1962. He moved to a direction at the request of A.L. Srinivasan. The movie was a huge success and was one of the best movies of him. He won the State award of Government of India for the movie. After this, there was no look back for him, and he went on doing hit movies and even producing them. For his great effort and good work three years continuously he won the State Award of Government of India. He even did movies in Tamil and Hindi. Many of his movies were r remade in Malayalam, Hindi and Telugu languages. He had appeared on the cover page of magazine Kalki. This was the first time when a director was on the cover page. He is a great inspiration to Kamal Hasan and many times the actor has mentioned his work in workshops. He gave to many new talents such as Prameela, Prameela, Jayachitra, and made up many careers for T.K. Bagavathy, B. Saroja Devi, and many others. Many child artists like Sridevi, Baby Sudha, made up from his movies. He is even known for his mythological movies like Sri KanchiKamakshi and Adhi Parashakthi. He even produced epigraphy’s like Deviyin Thiruvilaiyadal , Mahasakthi Mariamman, and Dasavatharam, K S Gopalakrishnan’s movie Panama Pasama was presented in the international film festival at Tashkent in 1968. He was honored with three certificates of merit and bronze medals. He received the title of “IYAKKUNAR THILAGAM” which means Doyen among directors by A.L. Srinivasan, at the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. He has six sons and S. G. Venkatesh one of his son is an actor in television serials. He has been a part of Sathuranga Vettai movie. He died on November 14, 2015.
