Plot

Rishi Nandan is an Inspector of Police. In a shootout, he loses his eyesight and also his girlfriend. He takes time to heal. Occasionally, he feels the presence of his girlfriend. After a break, he was posted to a jungle area, where there were some mysterious deaths happening. Rishi was introduced to Sathya. Sathya works as the forest officer, and Kathy is also a constable working under Sathya. Irfan also works as the head constable. The area is so mysterious, as people say that there is Vanaratchi, which guards the forest. If anyone misuses the forest and kills the animals or birds, Vanaratchi punishes them. Rishi witnesses some mysterious deaths. Ayyanar and Chitra are cops, who are appointed to guide Rishi in that forest area. Initially, Ayyanar feels irritated, as Rishi doesn’t get his suggestions. Ayyanar is married to Yamuna, a doctor’s daughter. As theirs was a love marriage neither of their families accepted them. But, due to some misunderstandings, Yamuna and Ayyanar get separated. Chitra suggests Ayyanar to reunite with Yamuna. Ayyanar suggests Chitra to get married. The tomboyish Chitra rejects marriage offers as she is not interested in marrying. Will Ayyanar reunite with Yamuna? Will Rishi solve the mysteries? What is Yamuna’s role in this mystery-solving? The rest of the series speaks about this.

Star Performance

Naveen Chandra is good in his role as Inspector Rishi. He is impressive in his expressions when he was cheated and in the climax scenes that showcase his brilliance. Sunaina is good in her role with different shades. Kanna Ravi, Malini, and Meesha have done their parts well. Vela Ramamoorthy is impressive in his positive role.

Analysis

The mysterious deaths and the way of killing were different. Naveen Chandra’s portions are finely penned, and he executed his character well. A lot of twists and turns are there. Yet, in a few sequences, we can spot one of the people behind the mystery. Yet, the makers tried to cover it up and showed it in the climax. That should have been avoided to maintain the thrill. The cinematography is excellent and it takes us to the scary woods. The BGM elevates the thrill. Editing is pretty decent.
