Plot
Lakshmi and Devaraj are a husband and wife. However, they got separated when their daughter Sam was young. After years, Sam revealed that she was in love with someone and wanted to marry the person. So, Lakshmi invited Devaraj to meet their future son-in-law. Ravindra and Nandini arrived there to discuss with Lakshmi and Devaraj, regarding Sam’s marriage. When Lakshmi thought that Sam was in love with Ravindra, she was shocked to know that she was in love with Nandini. Angry at this, Lakshmi asked Nandini to get out of their house at once. That’s the point where their first break-up happened. Sam is unable to convince her parents easily, as they are already separated and have their own issues. What happened next? Was she able to unite her parents, at least in this issue? The rest of the story follows this.
Star Performance
Rohini excels as Lakshmi. She emotes how a mother reacts to the situation. Vineeth is quite good in the role of Devaraj. Anusha and Kalesh did what was expected of them. Deepa Shankar is quite decent as maid Mary, who considers Sam as her daughter. Lijomol has given an exemplary performance. Her character is the gravitational force, and Lijomol lives as Sam and impresses the audience.
Analysis
LGBTQ+ stories are not new to the Indian film industry, and it is not something that everyone should stare at the story. All the characters are penned neatly, and everyone fits well in the roles. Kalesh’s situational comedy works out. Everyone has their own explanations. Some characters are relatable. The visuals and editing are decent. The BGM is okay.
