Nawazuddin Siddiqui was born in Budhana in Muzaffarpur district of Western UP on May 19, 1974. He grew up with seven brothers and two sisters in his native village. He is a science graduate from Gurukul Kangri University Haridwar and after completion of his graduation, he worked as a chemist in a factory for a short while. He did not like the job and hence leaving it proceeded to Delhi to find some other job which might interest him. As he could not find a suitable job in Delhi, he even worked as a watchman for his survival. Within a short while, he watched theatres and felt interested in it. He joined a theatre group and started studying the art of acting. He graduated in acting from National School of Drama in 1996 and relocated to Mumbai to pursue his career in acting.
On arrival in Mumbai, sustenance and survival became a serious issue for him and he started doing minor and few minute roles in the television which was simply not enough either for his survival or to showcase his acting talent. At one point of time having been fed up with minor roles in TV, he decided to try his luck in Bollywood film industry where though the roles were minor and nondescript, the money paid was higher than that of TV serials.

After a very long story of struggle, he got the lead role in Pipli Live, Kahani, gangs of Wasseypur and gangs of Wasseypur-2 which turned the tables in his favour. He won a National special jury award for his performance in Pipli Live.

Neel Shah

Neel Shah is a professional writer and a film producer in North India. He has worked in many projects in the Bollywood film industry, and he was also part of the miscellaneous crew in many movies. Neel Shah is mostly known for his work in the films Powerless which was released in the year 2017, Men at Work which hit the theatres in the year 2012, The Bold Type which was released in the big screens in the year 2017 and many more. Neel Shah first entered the entertainment industry as a writer and producer. He was born and grew up in Vadodara in Gujarat, India. Neel Shah wrote the scripts for a TV series named The City, and he produced it. This series got released on TV in the year 2010. In the same year, Neel Shah received a chance to act in another television show. This project was for the serial Dance India Dance: Li'l Masters. He performed in about three episodes in the series namely First Train Zone, Dance Ke Baap and Mega Auditions Part 2. In the year 2014, Neel Shah was given a credit of thanks for the documentary called Meet The Patels which was directed by Geeta Patel and Ravi Patel starring Ravi Patel, Geeta Patel, and Champa V. Patel. Neel Shah has also worked as a story editor and an executive story editor. He edited about ten episodes in the TV series Men At Work in the year 2014, and in the year 2017, he was the executive story editor of about ten episodes in the TV show Powerless. Neel Shah was also the writer of one episode in the series Men At Work called Jude Awakening and he wrote one episode in the series Powerless called Emily Dates a Henchman. Neel Shah was the writer of the comedy movie Puerto Ricans in Paris, a film based in the US. In the year 2018, Neel Shah wrote the one episode of another TV series called Splitting Up Together called Nevertheless She Went Clubbing and the series The Bold Type in which he wrote two episodes namely Trippin' and OMG. Neel Shah was the consulting producer of the comedy, musical movie The After Party in the year 2018. He was also the producer of the television serial The Bold Type in the same year of all the ten episodes that he wrote. Neel Shah has found his niche in writing and producing films and TV shows.
