Niharika Khan was born on November 21, 1996, in Jamshedpur, in the Indian state of Jharkhand. She did the bachelor degree in public relation and completed her HR from Seattle US. Her present residence is Mumbai. She has done costume designing in Bollywood. First, she started her work in a corporate set-up, and she hated it and also she did not attend classes of

jewellery designs but worked as design head in Tanishq in Banglore. And she started her career as a costume designer with the movie Khoya Khoya Chand (2007) and continued her works with many movies.

She got great fame for the movie Rock On. Then Yash Raj Films' Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) got her fame. She won the National award for the best costume designer for the movie Dirty Picture and she got the Film fare award for the same Dirty Picture.

In 2011 and 2012 she received the IIFA award as best costume designer for the movies Band Baja Bharat and Dirty Picture respectively. She loves to work in big budget films, emotional drama, love story etc. Niharika always loves to work with different people.

Niharika also worked as costume designer for Bombay Velvet, but she made the designs beyond the studio budget then tried to convince them about the budget but that didnt work out and finally, she decided to quit.

Niharika has 14 tattoos on her body and 15 piercings. She loves colour and comfort and always want to live in jeans and vests. She never dress for someone else because she thinks as she is the slave to fashion. She is obsessed with silver jewellery. She designs her own stuff and loves hair accessories more. Her favorite perfumes are Tom Ford's Black Violet and Paco Rabanne's Calandre, which was the first perfume gift by her father. Everyonecalls her fluorescent nightingale.

Niharika’s brother’s name is Arjun Bhasin who is known as costume designer for the movies Dil Chahta Hai, Rang De Basanti, and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. She is married to Ayub Khan who is a television actor. They met during college days at the party in Madh Island. Ayub proposed Niharika in an aquarium in Mumbai. And after few years Niharika went to the US for her studies then the relationship was broken.

Born on April 28, 1929, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Bhanu Athaiya née Rajopadhye is an Indian costume creator. She has created a costume in more than 100 movies, since the 50s.She is the daughter of Shantabai and Annasaheb Rajopadhye. She is the third child among her seven siblings. Her father was a painter. The Progressive Artists' Group, a batch of modern artists established by Francis Newton Souza selected her for being a member.
