Plot: Dasavatharam is a Tamil science fiction. It begins with bio-scientist Govindarajan Ramaswamy delivering a lecture about a certain theory. He also recites a 12th-century story based in Chidambaram when a king intends to destroy an idol of Govindaraja. In 2004, a biotechnological lab in the U.S designed a virus which one can use as a weapon. Govind realizes that the virus can kill people at large and with the fear of misuse, he refuses to give it away to his boss who wants to sell it.

Puli is a commercial entertainer with a fantasy world as a backdrop. Lets be very clear on this. The word fantasy is a bit over used in the film and the story has been heavily compromised.
