Priya Himesh is a renowned female playback singer primarily working in South Indian Film Industry. She has sung in various languages including Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Odiya etc. His most popular song across the whole India remains RingaRinga from movie Aarya 2 for which she also won Film fare Awards South. Priya was born 10 February 1982 in the suburbs of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. From a very early age, she was into singing and had classical training within her family. Then she started to participate in many local singings show and got the attention of local crowds. After completing her studies at Chennai University, she started auditioning to try her luck in the film industry as a singer.

gave her the chance to sing in Telugu film Rakhi (2006). She later sang the critically acclaimed song Kan Vizhithal Vennilavu in Mani ratnam’s Guru (2007) under the supervision of A.R.Rahman. After singing a couple of songs in Tamil & Kannada films, Priya rendered her voice in raunchy item song Ringa Ringa in
starrer blockbuster Arya 2 in 2009. The song becomes a rage amongst the youth of the whole country and charted many lists throughout the radio & TV platforms.
Later Pritam remade the song as Dhinka Chika in Salman Khan Starrer Ready (2011). The music director was again Devi Sri Prasad who got her the fame. In 2010, she received best Female Playback Singer at the Filmfare Awards – South for the song Ringa Ringa. After delivering some hits, her popularity again rose with the hit Manethanka Bare in Rambo (2012) &Mandyadinda from Lucky (2012) under the composition of
. She also crooned the song vegam vegam from Sridhar (2012).
Priya got his first breakthrough in Bollywood in
