The actor is currently preparing for his upcoming movie ‘The Greatest of All Time’. However, his age old classic ‘Ghilli’ is creating more buzz.
As mentioned before, ‘Ghilli’ has been re released in Tamil theatres on 20 April, the same day it had released in 2004. The film was a huge commercial success, earning 50 crores overall. Interestingly, Vijay’s ‘Ghilli’ was the first Tamil film to achieve this benchmark globally.
According to the latest reports, ‘Ghilli’ continues to maintain almost the same level of popularity, and has generated a whopping 3 crores just by advance bookings. This is phenomenal, especially at a time when Tamil cinema is reeling under a severe crisis, with negligible successes in their kitty.
