Namitha is a popular actress in south Indian film industry, who entered the cinema industry through a Telugu film Sontham in the year 2002. This glamorous actress was born in the year 1981 in Surat, a district in Gujarat. Before entering the film industry, Namitha was titled as Miss Surat, when she participated in the show in 1998. She has appeared in few advertisements including Arun Ice creams, Himani brands, Nile herbal shampoo and few more. Her debut in Tamil film was opposite to Vijayakanth in Engal Anna. She acted as Vijayakanth’s cousin in that film who fell in love with him deeply. It was an average movie. After her performance in Ai with Sarath kumar, she became a popular cinema icon in Tamilnadu. Englishkaran with Sathyaraj gave her a different role as a sports person and she did it perfectly. She has also acted in supporting roles, apart from doing the heroine roles. Bambara Kannaley by Srikanth revealed her as a best supporting actress. She appeared as Srikanth’s friend in that movie, where Arthi Agarwal did the heroine part. She has also acted in few Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam films. Billa is one of the movies by Namitha that showed her from a different angle. She was not villainy in Billa, but yet it was not a positive role. She is appearing in many stage shows and reality shows too. She is one of the super judges in the TV dance show Maanada Mayilada.
