Born on 29th of October in 1931 is our lyricist Vaali, who has proven his skills as an outstanding lyricist in Tamil. He is popularly known as the Indian Tamil poet and has earned a lot of followers, fans and well-wishers. He was initially named as T.S.Rangarajan by his parents and later got his nickname as Vaali. Born in Srirangam, Madras Presidency, India, he had given a shot in every field he could work with. He has been a poet, lyricist, writer, artist and an actor. Among everything he has been a wonderful poet and a writer. He had worked for the Tamil Cinema industry for over five decades and has written around fifteen thousand songs which have inspired his followers. Later, he was awarded the Padma Shree award by the Indian Government which is recognised as the India’s fourth highest Civilian honour. He moved to Chennai seeking an opportunity in the Tamil Cine industry in the 1950s where he did not succeed at first. Lately, he received an opportunity from M. G. Ramachandran, a renowned and a famous hero who is loved by all. Later on, he found fame for his writings and was said to have competition with another famous lyricists like Kannadasan. He has written books namely 'Pandavar Bhoomi', 'Avathara Purushan', 'Krishna Vijayam', 'Ramanuja Kaviyam', 'Thamizh Kadavul', 'Krishna Bhakthan', 'Kalaignar Kaviyam', and 'Vaalibavaali', which made him a legend. It is indeed sad that he is no more in this world to treat us with words and letters, yet he remains in most hearts and minds of Tamillians.

His rhythm for the song "Amma Endru Azhaikatha UyirIllaiye" has been carved onto the stones in Trichy and has taken many in awe.
