Lingusamy is the well known Indian film director, who is popular for his family scripts. He was born on November 14, 1967. Lakshmipuram in Tamilnadu is Lingusamy’s native. He worked as the assistant to “ A Venkatesh” and “ Vikraman.” His career as a director started in the year 2001, through the “ Mammootty” starrer, “ Anandham.” His first movie got him the Best Film Award at Filmfare by Cinema Express. He got consecutive success through “ R Madhavan” starrer, “ Run” and Vishal Reddy flick “Sandakozhi.” Lingusamy also owns a production house along with his brother Subash Chandra Bose, called, “Thirrupathi Brothers.” He has produced nearly 16 films with his production house. “Deepavali” was the first movie under his production banner. He scripted and directed “Bheema” in 2008. The movie showed the action face of Chiyaan Vikram and won the acclaim as a good action movie in his career. In 2010, he scripted, directed and produced, “Paiyaa,” the Karthik Sivakumar and Tamannaah movie, which earned him positive criticism.

As a producer, he managed to get the National Award for the film, “Vazhakku Enn 18/9.” The movie won two Awards in the Best Feature Film category and the Best Makeup Artist category. Similarly, “ Kumki” is the film which earned him a good name as a producer. The movie was directed by Prabhu Solomon and was awarded the Best Movie in 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards. It is the debut movie of Vikram Prabhu, which set him a good base to his career. Lingusamy’s latest film, “ Rajini Murugan” had a problem in the release. Though it released late, the movie won the hearts of the audiences. At present, Lingusamy has two movies in the production list. One is “Idam Porul Aeval,” which is in the box for a long time and the other is “Ra Ra Rajasekhar.”


M S Manimaran is a screenwriter and director from Tollywood, Tamil film industry. He was born and brought up in Walajapet in Walajapet, a town near Vellore. Manimaran debuted his film career as a director with Udhayam NH4 (2013), which was a romantic thriller starring Tamil industry big name Siddharth and newcomer Ashrita Shetty, the film was a box office success with earning 17 crores in its first week and more than 42.8 crores in the first 30 days of its release with a budget of 8 crores. Manimaran started his film career as an associate of the famous National Award winning Aadukalam director Vetrimaaran, who also penned the story and dialogues for Manimaran’s debut film. The second box office release for him was in the consecutive year 2014 but not as a director but as a writer in Poriyaalan, which means Engineer in Tamil. The film was critically acclaimed for its screenplay and a gripping thriller story, written by Manimaran and produced by Vetrimaaran. The third and the latest installment from Manimaran released in the year 2016, Pugazh in which he wrote as well as directed the movie. The story depicts the rivalry between a gang of boys living in a small town and the political party over acquiring a playground. The movie raises the issue of shortage of enough playgrounds to encourage the youngsters in the cities. The film received mixed reviews from the audience as well as viewers with a Below Average box office performance, but Manimaran surely is a talent to look for in the next few years in Tamil film industry.
