Himesh Reshammiya is known for his singing skills and as a music composer; he has gained a reputation; however, his career started with the television industry and television became the platform of his rise. He started his career as a music composer, screenplay writer and story writer for various television series’ which were telecasted on Zee TV. Among the popular television series for which Himesh Reshammiya wrote stories and composed music Dum Dama Dum, Amar Prem, Andaz, Ashiqui, and Jaan were very popular serials. In addition to it, he was also the producer of many television serials including Amar Prem and Andaz.

Gradually, he started getting success as a music composer for Bollywood projects and after that he also started singing, producing and acting in Bollywood movies. However, his connection with Indian Hindi television remained intact. After establishing himself as a successful singer and music composer in Bollywood, he began working as a judge and mentor for musical competitive television program Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 on Zee TV. Anandji Virji Shah was born in the year 1933 on the 2nd of March. He was born in the place of Kundrodi, Kutch of the state of Gujarat. His genre is basically making the film scores. This had indeed set out as a prominent style for Anandji Virji Shah as a music composer and director. He has been active in the Bollywood film industry right from the year 1954 until the present. He is a very popular Indian music director.  His brother's name is Kalyanji and he made a duo music pair with him. This duo had given many hits together and Anandji had won the Filmfare award for the best music director in the year 1975 for the movie Kora Kagaz. During the months of April and May 2007, he had gone to the Tampa Bay locality for a concert of a revival of Java society. Kuleen was the person who was responsible for the event and he was the one who hosted it as well.  He is also widely known for his musicianship as a leading orchestra player and an anchor that made a literal impact. He acquired the Padmashri award in the year 1992. This made this maestro to be absolutely popular among the contemporary artists. His works are in a way so refreshing and pretty much special.  Anandji and Kalyanji are known for their humble attitude and this makes people to approach them quite easily. Anandji Virji Shah is a music director who, along with his brother Kalyanji Virji Shah, was known as ‘Kalyanji Anandji’ duo. While Kalyanji had passed away on 24 August 200, Anandji is alive. Both the brothers were born in Gujarat. The duo is famous for composing music for films like “Don’, ‘Qurbani’, ‘Safar’,’ Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’, and ‘Vidhata’.  The duo had good association with Subash Ghai, Prakash Mehra, and Feroz Khan.  The duo came at a time when veteran music directors like Sachin Dev Burman, Madan Mohan, Naushad, Shankar Jaikishen were ruling the Hindi film industry. Yet the duo left an indelible place in the hearts of music lovers. Since it was difficult to make an entry in the film industry, Anandji’s elder brother Kalyanji started his own musical troupe named ‘Kalyanji Virji’ which organized a musical programme in and around Mumbai. It was Anandji’s brother Kalyanji who made his debut in the film industry with Samrat Chandragupta (1959). The film had Bharat Bhushan and Nirupa Roy as lead pair and the duet song ‘"Chahe Paas Ho"  sung by Lata-Rafi made the film an instant hit. After this, Anandji too came into the scene of assisting Kalyanji and officially both their names got credited for films like ‘Madari’ (1959) and ‘Chalia’ (1961). However, it was Manoj Kumar starrer ‘Himalay Ki God Mein,’ and Shashi Kapoor starrer ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile’, established them as composers to reckon with.  The duo had composed a melodious tune for Sunil Dutt and Nutan starrer ‘Saraswatichandra’ (1968).  Legendary singer Kishore Kumar has sung melodious songs ‘Zindagi Ka Safar Hai Ye Kaisa Safar", "Pal Pal Dilke Paas" which was picturised on Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra.  Similarly, Mukesh also gave some romantic songs like ‘Chandan Sa Badan" (Saraswatichandra) and "Chand Si Mehbooba" (Himalay Ki God Mein) which are still popular. It is said that Anandji wanted to become an actor, but he found that his height was a setback to evolve as an actor. Besides music, he also learnt editing and other screen technicalities. He was assoicated with the industry for over five decades. After Kalyanji had passed away, Anandji took interest to groom up young talents, Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu, Sadhna Sargam, Udit Narayan and Sunidhi Chauhan.  The duo was the favorite music director for Amitabh Bachchan and Feroz Khan. Feroz Khan’s film ‘Qurbani’ fetched platinum disc from musical company Polydor and  Prakash Mehra’s film ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar' fetched anothern Platinum disc from the musical company HMV for popularity of songs. The duo received National film Award for best composer for film ‘Saraswatichandra’ (1968) and won Filmfare award for film ‘Kora Kagaz’ (1974). Anandji was born on 2 March 1938 in Gujarat.  After Kalyanji’s passing away, Anandji has given up scoring music for any film.  


Sandeep Chowta

The eldest son of Kannada author and businessman D.K Chowta, Sandeep Chowta is a well known Indian music director. He was born in Ghana, a country in West Africa, grew up in Nigeria and later Banglore, India. Currently, he puts up in Chennai. He has been directing music for Kannada films and has also contributed to Bollywood and the Telegu cinema, Tollywood. He has directed music for five films in Tollywood and now is directing music for all the three industries. In 2003, he produced a documentary dealing with the drug peddling menace rampant in the country. He named it ‘Dead End’. The documentary was much applauded at the film festival and was government renowned. His musical talent was so much so that he managed to invite Jay Oliver and Richard Gannaway to his Mumbai studio. Their presence proved to be fruitful for him and since then he is one of the groups contributing producers. There comes a downfall in everyone’s life, and Sandeep too had to face it. He was invisible for ten long years. He gave no interviews, and even his relatives were unaware of what he is up to. But after his comeback to Bollywood he cleared that he wanted to do things for himself and that it was important for him to pursue some of his dreams. After a gap of 10 years, he felt that the music industry had totally changed and was turning more towards EDM. Being such an experienced person he feels no shame in still learning new genres. He is also in praise for the symbol of euphoria for the Youth, Yo Yo Honey Singh. He gained much popularity from the music of bollywood film, Satya. His latest big score was Akshay Kumar starrer Rowdy Rathore and Gabbar Is Back. Movies like The Shaukeens and Action Jackson too had amazing music by Sandeep Chowta. He has also directed music for Bollywood hits like Om Shanti Om and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. He continues to create the magic by his music and entertain the audience. His is one such musician whose life begins at music and ends at music.
