The original idea was about a man who, as a former covet operations officer, tries to make up for past sins by helping people who are in trouble. He completed his degree in film studies at New York University. Shortly after graduation, he began pursuing production jobs. In high school, a teacher recommended him to the vibrant revival house scene in New York City, when he started developing an interest in film. Wenk managed to impress Roger Corman (an American director, producer, and actor), who saw screening of “Dracula.” In 1986, Wenk was hired as a script writer for the horror comedy film “Vamp.” Donald Borchers (film producer, director, and screenwriter) was also impressed with his work and allowed him to direct the film, starring Grace Jones and Chris Makepeace. His recent movie to hit the theatres is “The Equalizer 2 (2018), an action thriller, directed by Antonie Fuqua.
