The Expendables 2 Teasers, Trailers & Video Songs
The Expendables 2 is the second installment in the ensemble action series. The sequel saw the return of most of the previous cast including some new appearances. Simon West is the director of the movie with the screenplay co-written by Stallone and Richard Wenk. The story is the same old vengeance plot.
The mercenaries, after the death of a comrade, set out to gain revenge for their fallen while thwarting the plans of the villain. The trailer is full of guns, guns, and more guns. It gives us a glance at the action sequences with weapons, fist, and explosions.
The film is a classic example of all brawn and no brain. The trailer is full of cheesy one-liners and hilarious references to the previous movies of the actors. Jean-Claude Van Damme, after declining a role in the first part, decided to star in the sequel as the villain.
The film does not pretend to be anything more than an action-packed feature movie that caters to the fan-base. It also has a prominent cameo by famed actor, Chuck Norris. The reviews by the critics swing both ways. Some agree that they enjoyed watching the film despite its lacking dialogue and screenplay. The movie is a throwback with a singular purpose; that is to entertain which it does regardless of its lackluster plot.
