Visual Styling
Visual Styling is the primary duty of an Art Director whether it's a Film Set, Magazine or Photoshoot. The main goal of an Art Director is to bring out the best visuals out of the given concept. An art director looks after the decorations and the styling of the set on which the performance is going to commence. He or she should be thus an expert in visual arts and fine arts.
They are the people responsible for the artistic expressions in the film set, a magazine or a photoshoot. Thus, the visual designing and color combinations are almost always set by an art director only.
Whatever you see on the screen or read in a magazine is designed to look a certain way, which is the duty of an art director to make it look that way, which supports the theme and the flavor of the project they are working on.
