Plot
Hera is the daughter of King Helm Hammerhand and would-be shieldmaiden of Rohan. Freca, a Dunlending lord, and his son, Wulf, visit King Helm Hammerhand. Wulf is Hera’s childhood friend. Freca wants his son Wulf to get married to Hera. He tries to stop Hera’s marriage with Rohan to usurp his throne. However, Hera is not interested in marrying Wulf. When Helm and Freca are engaged in the fist fight, Freca is killed in a single blow. However, Helm didn’t kill him intentionally. Devastated by his father’s death, Wulf vows revenge. After a few years, Freca’s loyal general follows Hera and kidnaps her. He takes her to Wulf. However, Hera was saved by Frealaf and her aunt, Olwyn. Soon, Wulf invades Rohan, fights with Helm’s son Haleth and kills him. Soon, he kills Helm’s other son, Hama, in front of Helm. What happened next? Will Hera be able to stop this? The rest of the story follows this.
Star Performance
Though the voice actors did their jobs well, the characters lack the needed depth. Brian has done a good job as King Helm Hammerhand. Gaia Wise as Hera, Lorraine Ashbourne as Olywn, Luke Pasqualino as Wulf, and Laurence Ubong Williams as Frealaf have lent their voice ably.
Analysis
The characters are introduced well, but they are not penned neatly. Almost all the characters lack the needed depth. When Hera is supposed to be the first woman to lead in the series, her character should have been written strong. Though there are a lot of nostalgic moments brought by the spots and characters, it would’ve reached better if the characters were designed well. The script and the execution are average, but the animation is decent. Though it is high on visuals, it lacks a gripping narrative.

Verdict
If the script had been better and the narration had been gripping, the movie would’ve been elevated to the next level. However, it is watchable once for the visuals and voice-acting!
