Plot
Balsano family has an ancestral home on Long Island. They gather at the home for Christmas before the property is sold. Lenny, Emily, and Kathleen join their relatives from various generations at the home. Ray and Ronald fight against Mathew regarding shifting their grandma to a care home. At the same time, the kids are planning to meet their friends. What happens next? The rest of the film showcases how the family experiences a grand get-together and the values of the relationship.
Star Performance
Francesca Scorsese and Sawyer Spielberg’s presence is felt, but they didn’t make any huge impact.
Analysis
The film speaks about the American-Italian family and their relationship through a grand get-together. Certain moments are captured well, but the narration is not impressive. The humorous scenes didn’t make the audience laugh, and certain emotional scenes make us feel it is overdramatic. It appears to be a collection of some characters and not an interesting, wholesome drama. After a certain segment, the scenes are very predictable. The characters are very basic, like a granny with some health issues, a mommy with pride, and kids who just want to enjoy the moment. The film makes us feel too noisy due to overcrowded characters and their chatter. How did they even manage to dub those scenes? The BGM didn’t bring any effect, as the film was already noisy. The visuals are okay and the production values are good.

Verdict
Instead of bringing a clear emotional drama, the film make us feel overdramatic with too noisy scenes. Though the makers wanted to explore how the relationships lose their value over a period of time, the execution lacks the grip.
