Plot
Senapathi, the Indian freedom fighter, fought against corruption in India in the late 90s. He left for Hong Kong. After years, he returned to India, to help Chitra Aravindhan, who has been exposing the corruption in India through his videos.
Star Performance
Kamal is as usual with his natural performance. Siddharth is okay. The rest of the stars have done what Shankar asked.
Analysis
To start with… The film is a posthumous release for actors Vivek, Nedumudi Venu, Manobala, and Marimuthu.
The initial few minutes showcase some incidents and the expectations of Senapathy's entry. The entry of Kamal with AR Rahman’s music is impressive. The screenplay is very much predictable and the writing lacks much-needed grip. It looks like Shankar is missing Sujatha dearly. If a sequel is made, everyone starts comparing it to the 1st part; this is obvious. There may be some minus points, and this is commonly compared. But, Indian 2 looks like an injustice to its previous version, Indian. Kamal’s getups are not impressive and how Shankar approved those getups is a big question here. The same getup in the first part would have maintained some vibes. There are no emotional connections seen. Highly expected SJ Surya didn’t have anything impressive to do. We can just say, Oh, Rakul, are you playing in Indian 2…. She has no significant role to play, like some of her co-stars. Though Kamal is the lead, the film should have some meaningful roles to others. Anirudh’s BGM is average, maybe because of its comparison with the Oscar Hero. The visuals are good.

Verdict
The film that created high expectations failed to satisfy everyone waiting for it. However, it is worth watching for Kamal’s performance and Shankar’s grandeur!
