Ilaiyaraaja Settles Dispute With Makers Of Good Bad Ugly

Ilaiyaraaja has finally decided to make amends.

The musician has decided to settle the copyright dispute with Mythri Movie Makers, whom he had sued over copyright infringement in Good Bad Ugly over a couple of songs. The Madras High Court ruled in his favor, forcing the makers to take down the movie from the OTT platform Netflix a few months after the release.

This is not the first such occasion. Ilaiyaraaja also sued the makers of Dude on similar grounds, following which Madras High Court ordered the makers to remove the said songs. Ilaiyaraaja also objected to the use of his songs in movies like LEO and Vikram [both of which were directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj].
