Yograj Singh

Yograj Singh Bhagsingh Bhandal is a former Indian Cricketer and currently an actor. Born on March 25, 1958, in Kanech Village, which is next to Doraha which is in the district of Ludhiana in Punjab, he married Shabnam Singh but later divorced her.

He had an extremely short career as a cricketer. He was predominantly a seam bowler and played a total of 1 test match and 6 one day internationals for India. He was picked up for India’s tour to Australia and New Zealand in 1980-1981 as a right-arm fast medium bowler. In the ODI’s that he played, he took merely four wickets in 5 innings which was very disappointing.

He bowled one innings in a test match where he earned one wicket of John Wright. He has played seven first-class matches in the tour of New Zealand and returned with 13 wickets. He has also played for Haryana and Punjab.

His career was cut short by an injury. Yograj Singh joined the acting industry after his injury. His career as an actor involved films in both Hindi and Punjabi Film Industry.
