He had an extremely short career as a cricketer. He was predominantly a seam bowler and played a total of 1 test match and 6 one day internationals for India. He was picked up for India’s tour to Australia and New Zealand in 1980-1981 as a right-arm fast medium bowler. In the ODI’s that he played, he took merely four wickets in 5 innings which was very disappointing.

He bowled one innings in a test match where he earned one wicket of John Wright. He has played seven first-class matches in the tour of New Zealand and returned with 13 wickets. He has also played for Haryana and Punjab.
