Thambi Ramaiah, an Indian film actor, and director is considered as the busiest actors in Kollywod appearing in maximum movies that released in 2014. Once upon a time, he did not even how to make a foray into Kollywood. Anticipating for someone to give a chance in films, he had to wait till his luck could get him a status of an actor. 

Things changed when he got the national best-supporting actor in the year for ‘ Mynaa’ (released 2010). But he had to wait till 2013-14 when he was at the peak of a career. He works for up to four films a day and even stays 25 days (2013-14) on location for shooting his various films that were under production. He took in-charge of his make-up and costumes in the films that he starred the most.

From a small beginning, the actor had come a long way. When he was just in the age of 20, he came to Chennai to become a screenwriter. As his father was a poet, he felt he could get a break, but that did not happen. Due to lack of any contacts in the film industry, he had worked in a private company for nine years. 

It was only in 1994 that he got a job as a dialogue writer for a serial in Sun TV. Later, he got an overall opportunity to become an assistant director, script writer and lyricist in TV serial. Looking for a further break in the big screen, he got an opportunity to meet P. Vasu and T Rajendar, who helped him to grow up as an assistant director in their respective films. 

Even today, he considers P Vasu as his mentor in screenplay writing. He appeared in a cameo for Vasu’s film ‘Malabar Police’ (1999) with Gowndamani. Next year, he got his first directorial debut as an independent director to direct Napoleon and Murali in ‘Manu Needhi (2000). Meantime, he had concentrated in doing some supporting roles in few films that came on his way and even directed a Vadivelu starrer’ Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan’ (2008). 

Due to his busy schedule later on, he never wielded his megaphone again in the directorial venture after 2008. He is known for writing dialogues for comedy scenes of Vadivelu. He associated with this celebrated comedian for a long innings. People have appreciated him for his varied roles in ‘ Kumki’, ‘Saatai’, ‘ Kazhugu’, ‘Vaagai Sooda Va’,’ Osthi’, ‘Vettai’, and other movies.

Chaams is a Tamil actor who regularly appears in a supporting role in many movies. He is an actor who began his career by doing small roles but later bagged meaningful roles and had received mass appreciation for his performances.  Right from the beginning he started a new style of comedy that people loved and then he followed it with every film. He used his natural tone and local Tamilian style to deliver dialogues with perfect timing and incredible sense of humor.  He is now marked as one of the best comedy actors of Kollywood. He has appeared in some Tamil films in 2015, and most of the films have been received well by audiences.  His expression only can one make laugh and he has excelled in films like  ‘Payanam’, ‘Maanga’ and ‘49-O’ respectively.  With veteran Tamil movie comedians getting older and aged, now it is time for new generation comedy actors to accept good roles.  He is amazing with his dialogue delivery and expression. Earlier, he was acting with comedians like Vadivelu and Gowndamani and supported in their comedy roles. His role in a movie like ‘Payanam’, where he acts as a passenger with actor Prithivari on a flight that has been hijacked exhibits his dialogue skills.  In the year 2009,  a film named ‘ Palaivana Solai’ was released which was a remake version of the same film released in 1981 where a love story of five friends woven around one simple girl received critics appreciation. In the 2009 flick, Chaams had played the lead role as one of the five friends. This position gave him maximum satisfaction till date.  This proved that if comedians are given better roles, they can excel in that too.  Similarly in the year 2011, another film ‘Onbadhule Guru’ was released, where he played the role of disgruntled married man who wants to go back to his bachelor days along with his other friends. The film needed all leading actors to do comedy as per the script and actor Chaams appeared as Guru, which was marvelous.  With many films like’ Bhooloham’ & ‘Kopperundevi’  are in the pipeline for release, this comedy actor will ample chances to refresh the viewers again with comedy antics. The actor was born on January 2, 1975, in Coimbatore. The film industry has witnessed many great comedy actors through its time, if, given depth roles in comedy scenes, this artist is bound to become one day a veteran comedian.

Imman Annachi

Imman Annachi is one of the most popular television anchors in the history of Tamil Television. He is also a well-known actor and comedian and is best known for his sense of humor. He gained popularity through popular television shows such as ‘Kutty Chutties’ and ‘Solluganne Sollunga’. He was born as Immanuel in the city of Thiruvaluthinadar Vilai in the district of Thoothukudi in Eral in the state of Tamil Nadu. He was a talented young man since his early life and got his fame and recognition after he appeared on a talk show on Makkal TV.  Imman made his entry into the television screen after being selected by the Tamil Channel Makkal TV to host a show which was popularly known as ‘Konjam Arattai Konjam Settai.' He was gradually recognized with the name Imman Annachi and gained some recognition with this show. But it was after his stint with the famous television show ‘Solluganne Sollunga’ that he had managed to get a very considerate amount of recognition. He had left Makkal TV to join Adithya TV and, later on, got the job of hosting the show. He left his job at Adithya TV and eventually and joined the famous Sun Network’s Sun TV and started working on the famous children’s show ‘Kutty Chutties’ in the same channel.  Later on, Imman started appearing in some films and played significant roles. In the year 2012, he made his appearance in the film, ‘Neerparaval’ in the role of ‘Annachi’. The film was made by Seenu Ramasamy and starred actors like Vishnu, Sunaina, Manochitra, Nandita Das, etc. In the year 2013, he made appearances in two films both in which the lead was played by Tamil star, Dhanush. He appeared as ‘Kuttyandi’ in the film ‘Maryan’ while he played the role of a ‘tea shop owner’ in the film, ‘Naiyaandi’. Some of his best-known works are, ‘Puli’ and ‘Kakki Sattai’ in 2015, and ‘Poojai’ and ‘Jilla’ in 2014.
