Kaantha To Release On This OTT Platform

After underperforming at the box office, the bilingual drama Kaantha has opted for an early OTT release.

According to the recent box office reports, Kaantha will be streaming in multiple languages on Netflix from December 12 onwards. Released on 14 November, Kaantha was appreciated by the critics for the performances of the entire cast, especially Dulquer and Bhagyashri. However, the appreciation didn’t translate into box office numbers. Kaantha could only manage to collect 35 crores worldwide, the same as its budget.

Kaantha is Dulquer’s first flop after the 2023 movie King of Kotha. He had previously starred in Lucky Baskhar, which was a surprise hit when it released last year. Dulquer also produced Lokah – Chapter 1 : Chandra, which has become the highest grossing Malayalam movie in the history of Indian cinema, and the first Malayalam film to enter the 300 crore club.
