Plot
Five filmmakers go on a trip for a script-writing session and somehow end up in a haunted house. The haunted spirit gives them tasks to perform and if not completed will end up dead. Who will outsmart who? The filmmakers or the spirit.
Star performance
The film’s story depends on the performances, and all the cast members have passed this with flying colors. All the actors have done a fantastic job, keeping the viewers on the edge of their seats. Sidhu Sid, Shruthi Ramakrishnan, Sayaji Shinde, Mime Gopi, Vetri Vijay, and Madhan Gopal have outshined themselves, portraying their respective characters with utmost sincerity and honesty.
Analysis
The film’s story is its most significant selling point. Everybody knows the appetite of horror India has, if made well the audience would show their love and this film has also made the audience to shower their love. The director has kept the audience hooked to their seats from start to end. The cinematography successfully made an ominous environment where everybody has to be on alert, making an eerie surrounding. The narrative slowly and steadily unfolds its twists both psychologically and physically with detailed editing and a quest for safety. The film does have negative points as well. The VFX is poor, it's evident in many scenes that are shot on a green screen, the action sequences are unintentionally funny, and a predictable climax. Aghori does make a perfect weekend horror watch. The film offers an intriguing plot, outstanding performances and a decently made horror film. Do watch it in the theatres.
