. His first movie as a choreographer and actor was Parthen Rasithen in 2000. Before this movie, he has appeared in small roles in the background. Lawrence was made popular by Balachander in the film Paarthaalae Paravasam, a Madhavan Starrer. His dance and acting was applauded in that film. His first choreography started with the Telugu movie Aunty in 1995. In 2004, he directed the Telugu film Mass with Nagarjuna and Jyotika and the movie was a hit. He also directed his Mentor Prabhu Deva in a Telugu movie called Style. In Tamil, he directed Muni with Raj Kiran and following the success of the film, he directed Kanchana and Kanchana 2. All these films were super hit. He is at present directing and acting in Motta Siva Ketta Siva.
