If everything goes right, Mrunal Thakur will be joining the movie as the lead actress!

In case you are unaware, ‘Kanchana’ is a horror comedy movie which had released in July 2011. The movie was written, produced, as well as directed by Raghava Lawrence, who was also the main lead of this movie. The movie was so successful that it set the stage for a full fledged franchise like ‘Aranmanai’. Every film, irrespective of the budget, was a commercial success. ‘Kanchana’ was also remade into Hindi as ‘Laxmii’. However, despite the OTT release, the film was a complete washout.

It would be interesting to see how Mrunal Thakur utilizes this opportunity. Despite her brilliance, she was hardly considered as a lead actress in Bollywood, until she bagged the role of Princess Noor Jahan in ‘Sita Ramam’, which was her debut in the Telugu industry.

The movie was not only a surprise hit, but it also gave instant recognition to Mrunal Thakur as a dependable star.
