The dance industry has been booming in India since time immemorial. Whether it be classical hits, modern-day pop, or jazz, Indian artists have shown their talent on various occasions and displayed their dedication to their work. We find many choreographers from multiple industries who have given us exciting sequences to groove on over the decades. Let us look at some of these famous personalities in this article.

1. Prabhu Deva

One of the most well-known choreographers, Prabhu Deva, created dance moves for films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada. Prabhu Deva won two national choreography honours. Prabhu Deva, affectionately known as "India's Michael Jackson," even decided to become a filmmaker and has been working on Bollywood films. His performances in ABCD, and ABCD 2, are particularly noticeable.

2. Remo D’Souza

Ramesh Gopi Nair, also known as Remo D'Souza, is a dancer, choreographer, actor, and director. Even though Remo primarily choreographed songs for Bollywood films, he is well-known among local moviegoers. Remo even serves as a judge on the famous dance competition Jhalak Dikla Jha. Remo has choreographed around 80 films for the Indian cinema industry to date. Some noticeable films he has worked in include ABCD 2, Kalank, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and Bajirao Mastani.

3. Ganesh Acharya

Indian choreographer, director, and actor Ganesh Acharya has spent the last few decades creating dance sequences for Bollywood movies. Ganesh Acharya received recognition for his choreography by winning the National Film Award and earlier being nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Choreography. He has choreographed several sequences in hit films like Brahmastra, Pushpa: The Rise, Baaghi 2, Sanju, etc.

4. Jaani

He is a well-known choreographer of the present day. Jani Master appears to be developing into one of the top choreographers for Mega Power Star Ram Charan's career, similar to how Prabhudeva and Lawrence were for Megastar Chiranjeevi. 6. Sundaram Master

Sundaram Master has choreographed in six languages—Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali—and has worked on over 1000 films. He has collaborated with the top filmmakers in the South Indian cinema business. Sundaram Master was the first recipient of the coveted National Award. It was first given out in the choreographer category in 1994 for actors like M.G. Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, Nagesh, N.T. Rama Rao, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Superstar Rajnikanth, and Kamal Haasan, among others, he has choreographed the most songs.

7. Raghava Lawrence

Raghava Lawrence is a multi-talented artist, much like Prabhu Deva. He is a director, actor, and choreographer. Due to Superstar Rajinikanth's help, he was initially connected to the dancer's union, where he worked as Prabhu Deva's assistant. Although he first struggled in Tollywood, he had the tenacity to show himself. With Tamil films like Amarkalam, Muni, Sivaji: The Boss, etc., he established himself as a choreographer. As a choreographer in Tollywood, Raghava also experienced success.

8. Kala Master

Kollywood's most renowned choreographer is Kala. Even though she is now entirely occupied with her duties, the instructions she provides are simply outstanding. In addition to Kollywood, she has also succeeded in Tollywood, Bollywood, Mollywood, and Sandalwood. More than 4,000 songs have been choreographed by her. She began her choreographic career in 1989 with Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal and has had a fantastic journey. She is the first female choreographer to win the National Award.
