According to the recent reports, talks are going on with the actress for the upcoming instalment of the iconic horror comedy franchise. If Rashmika agrees, this will be her first major Tamil movie in more than two years, although Kuberaa was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil when it released this year.

Rashmika Mandanna had last starred in the 2023 movie Varisu, which starred Vijay in the lead role. The movie was a moderate success, despite earning nearly 300 crores worldwide in its lifetime collection. Rashmika was last seen in the bilingual movie Kuberaa, which starred Dhanush and Nagarjuna in prominent roles, and was an average grosser at the box office.
