Sundar C To Direct The Reunion Of Kamal Haasan And Rajinikanth

The project will be produced under the banner of Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International, and will be released by Pongal in 2027.

While some might not be impressed by this decision, Sundar C is no ordinary filmmaker. At a time when Kollywood was struggling to deliver a simple box office hit, the actor cum filmmaker broke the curse by directing Aranmanai 4, which ended the box office drought for Tamil cinema last year. Sundar C’s command over the masses is such that even a film like Madha Gada Raja, which was delayed for more than a decade, turned out to be a massive hit at the box office, when it released in January this year.

Sundar C is currently working on Mookuthi Amman 2, the spiritual sequel to the devotional comedy film of the same name starring Nayanthara in the lead role.
