Sean Combs, whose full name is Sean John Combs and whose other names are Diddy, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, and Puffy, is a rapper, actor, businessman, songwriter, entrepreneur, and record producer. Janice was a teacher assistant and modelled for a few extra bucks while Melvin worked with U.S. Air Force and Frank Lucas, a drug dealer of New York. When Sean turned two, some unknown men shot his father while he was in his car. Sean went to Roman Catholic Mount Saint Michael Academy and Howard University.

While studying in the academy, he displayed considerable talent on the football field and would win titles for it. Sean had the reputation of throwing some of the best parties. He started interning at Uptown Records and with the help of the talent director there developed Mary J. Blige and Jodeci. In 1993, Uptown Records fired him, and Sean established Bad Boy Entertainment in association with Arista Records. He produced several songs under this label. Four years later, Sean sang his first song named Can't Nobody Hold Me Down, which was a success. It boosted his confidence, and he released several more albums.

Sean has also acted in A Raisin in the Sun, Can't Stop, Won't Stop: A Bad Boy Story, Carlito's Way: Rise to Power, Get Him to the Greek, and much more. In 2002, Forbes ranked him at the twelfth position on their top forty entrepreneurs under 40 list. Sean has also ventured into clothing business and opened Sean John, which won the Council of Fashion Designers of America Award in 2004. He is the owner of two restaurants and Aquahydrate, a beverage brand, and has a paramount stake in the television network Revolt TV as well. Sean is the father of six children. His first son Justin was born out of Sean's relationship with Misa Hylton-Brim.
