Kris Leonard was brought up by his mother – Lisa, and sister- Charlotte. Before joining the band ‘Viola Beach’, he worked as a sweeper cleaning toilets. He has just turned 20 before the tragic end took place. The tragedy can be realised by the fact that his birthday presents where lain untouched on his bed after the horror bridge death. The 43-year-old mother Lisa told, “Kris was so young when he left us. He always wanted to do something which will be remembered by all and did so. Kristen was unique in his own sense”. She also revealed about her son’s unique fashion sense, wearing women’s clothes. Kris Leonard once told Wonderland Magazine that much of the lyrics produced by the band was inspired by their hometown, where there was nothing much to do than to drink cider and smoke rollies, and chase girls.
