John Hyams

John Hyams is an American director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, best recognised for his involvement in the Universal Soldier set, for which he has directed two parts. Hyams is the offspring of director Peter Hyams. Hyams did his graduation from the Syracuse University School which is known for its Visual and Performing Arts department, becoming a well-known painter and sculptor displaying and selling work in the New York City and Los Angeles. He became appreciated in Hollywood in 1997 after producing, writing and directing the critically praised One Dog Day.

The movie debuted at the Taos Talking Picture Film Festival. After this, Hyams directed various documentaries, most prominently The Smashing Machine, which tracks the life of the fighter named Mark Kerr. Hyams also directed many episodes of NYPD Blue which airs on ABC Televisions. In 2009, Hyams caught over the Universal Soldier franchise, directing the movie Universal Soldier: Regeneration. It is the third theatrical part in the Universal Soldier series. MMA fighter Andrei-The Pit Bull Arlovski plays the role of NGU - Next Generation UniSol in the movie along with assistant MMA fighter Mike Pyle in the character of Capt.

Kevin Burke. Jon Foo appears as a small role in the movie as one of the four UniSols. The flick has earned an average to mixed reports, but it has since received a notable cult developing.
