Calista Flockhart, born on 11th of November 1964 in Freeport, USA is the daughter of Kay and Ronald Flockhart. Calista also has an elder brother in her family. When she was very young, she performed a play ‘Toyland’ at a dinner party, which she had written herself. She went to Shawnee High School, New Jersey.

She graduated in 1988 from Mason Gross School of Arts, Rutgers University, New Jersey with a degree of Bachelors in Fine Arts in Theater. Her debut in the television industry was a role of a babysitter in Guiding Light, 1989. She donned the role of Laura in a Broadway show The Glass Menagerie in the year 1994, which was her debut in Broadway. She received Clarence Derwent Award for the same. She played the protagonist in a series by Fox Television named Ally McBeal, which bagged her a Golden Globe Award in 1998. She also starred in the television production Brothers and Sisters in 2006. She will be seen playing the character Cat Grant in a new series by ABC named Supergirl, which shall be aired in the month of October, 2015.

She was also seen in movies like Birdcage (1996) and Telling Lies in America (1997) to name a few. Before joining the film industry, she had worked as a waitress and as an aerobics instructor. She is listed among 50 Most Beautiful People by the People’s Magazine. She gave birth to Liam, a baby boy in the year 2001. She also had a dog which she named Webster.

She received a Humanitarian Award by the LA Commission on Assaults Against Women in October 21st, 2005 as she was their national spokesperson.

Calista Flockart and met for the first time in 2002 at The Golden Globe Awards. They got engaged on 14th February 2009 and they subsequently got married on 15th of June, 2010 in Mexico.
