Mos Def

Dante Terrell Smith Bey was born on the 11 December 1973. He is branded by his stage name called Mos Def. He was born in Brooklyn located in New York City. His father, Abdul Rehman, resided in New Jersey, and that’s why he was brought up by his mother, Sheron Smith, in New York City. He was the eldest brother of 12 children and step kids. His father was a Muslim, but surprisingly he was not unsheltered to the religion of Islam up until he turned 13. He can be titled as a human being of indefinite talent. He is hip hop singer, a recording artist, an actor, also a comedian and an activist from New York.

Bey started his career in his childhood itself by appearing in various roles in television, movies, and some famous sitcoms and also practiced his talent in the theatre. He performed publicly in the television movie called God Bless the Child at the age of 14. It was successfully broadcast on ABC in the year of 1988. However, being famous for his boundless talent he is most famous for his music creation. He started his career in the year of 1994. After that, he came into sight on two different albums called ‘Da Bush Babees’ and ‘De La Soul’. ‘Black on Both Sides’ was his first solo debut followed by The New Danger, which came out in the year of 2004, True Magic in 2006 and The Ecstatic in 2009.
