Plot
Senapati is a big don in the city. He has 3 sons, Varadan, Thyagu and Ethi. After the death of Senapati, the sons try to grab his place. But, who is involved in Senapati's murder? The doubt arises on Rasool, a cop and the friend of Senapati’s elder son Varadan, Senapati’s right hand Chezhiyan and Chitra, Varadan’s wife. What is the connection between Chitra and Chezhiyan? Are the three sons involved in the murder of Senapati? Who is the actual murderer? Watch the movie in theatres!
Star Performance
Undoubtedly this film will be a milestone in the career of Simbu. He should really be thankful to Mani Ratnam for given him such a good performance oriented role in his career for the first time. Next, Vijay Sethupathi… The actor had never underperformed in his career so far. This film is also one of the remarkable movies in life of Vijay Sethupathi. He had performed excellently well. In the female stars, Jyothika and Jayasudha had got a huge space to perform well. Although the other stars Arvind Swamy, Arun Vijay, Aishwarya Rajesh and Aditi Rao Hydari had performed well, it is Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika and Jayasudha who are highlighted well. Although Prakash Raj had a limited screen space, he had done his role perfectly well.
Analysis
Mani Ratnam and Siva Anand had done a good job in scripting the film. After a long Mani Ratnam's movie has intense action sequences and emotional scences that attract the youngsters.

Cinematography is one of the biggest highlight of the movie and AR Rahman’s background music gels well with the script.
