is the son of famous Tamil actor and politician Vijayakumar. He is also known by the name of Arun Vijay. He was born on November 19, 1977 in Chennai. He was born in a film family so it was not hard for him to make a way towards silver screen.

In the same year, he changed his name from Arun Kumar to Arun Vijay in hope of better luck.
