According to the original reports, Mani Ratnam is planning to collaborate with Rajinikanth for his next movie. If the reports are true, this will be only their second collaboration, and that too after more than 33 years!

The last time Mani Ratnam and Rajinikanth had collaborated together for a movie was the 1991 movie ‘Thalapathy’, which released in the theatres on the occasion of Deepavali.
