Tony Kushner is a writer. He was born on 16th July 1956. He made his debut in 1993 with ‘Angels in America: Millennium Approaches’ and ‘Angels in America: Perestroika’. He has wrote many films: ‘Munich’, ‘Lincoln’, ‘Fences’, ‘West Side Story’, ‘The Fabelmans’. He wrote many essays: “The Secrets of Angels”, “The State of the Theatre”, “The Theater of Utopia”, “The Art of the Difficult”, “Notes About Political Theater”, “Wings of Desire”, “Fo’s Last Laugh”, “Matthew’s Passion”, “A Modest Proposal”, “A Word to Graduates: Organize!”, “Only We Who Guard The Mystery Shall Be Unhappy”. He has received various honours : 1993 Pulitzer Prize for Drama , 2002 PEN/Laura Pels International Foundation for Theater Award, 2008 Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award, Puffin/Nation Prize for Creative Citizenship, 2012 St. Louis Literary Award, 2013 Elected Member, American Philosophical Society and 2013: The Lincoln Forum’s Richard Nelson Current Award of Achievement.
