She has acted in many Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil language films. Born to Ralph and Lavina Fernandes in a Christian family in Mangalore, she was brought up in Mumbai. She finished her schooling at Holy Cross High School and finished her college from SIES. For further studies she opted Bachelors of Arts in St. Andrew’s College but later dropped out to pursue her modeling career. She kickstarted her career in modeling at the age of seventeen with a B-Blunt saloon. As a progressive step, she took to participate in Femina Miss Maharashtra 2011 and won that which lead her to Miss India contest where she finished in the Top ten rank. She was working in many films but due to delay in release, Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu became her debut film in Tamil film industry.
