Martha Atwater was an English writer, producer, branding strategist, and creative executive, born on 30 April 1964. She graduated from Princeton University. She has written many books for children that led her to win various esteemed awards. Martha wrote “World World” and “ Arthur Authur is an English kid’s TV Show that originated >> Read More... .” Her “Big and Small” in 2009 won the British Academy of Film and Television Arts for Best Children’s Series. For three successive years, Martha was nominated for Emmys for Outstanding Writing in Animation for “Clifford the Big Red Dog.” Martha received few more awards, like Humanities Prize for “A New Friend – Clifford the Big Red Dog” for the Children’s Animation Category, in 2009, for Best Writing Team in Children’s Series for “World World” and Daytime Emmy Award.
Martha became a board member of the Brooklyn Heights Association. She also started her own company, Oxymoron Print Media. She tied knots with Tom Wallack, and they were parents of two daughters, Chloe and Olivia. Everything was going great, and Martha was shining with her work, but a heart-wrenching incident occurred on 22 February 2013. Martha was 48 when a truck struck her as she stepped out of a cafe and took her life.
