Christina Rene Hendricks is an American actress. She was born on 3rd May 1975 in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States. She is well recognized for her role in "Mad Men" as Joan Holloway, for which she nominated for six Emmy Awards. Her mother, Jackie Sue, was a psychologist. Her family moved because her father, Robert, worked for the U.S Forest service living in Fairfax, Portland and Twin Falls. She has both U.S and U.K nationality through her father. She began appearing on television, landing a recurring role in "Beggars and Choosers". She has also appeared on "ER", "Firefly", "Cold Case" and "Without a Trace", but she received her breakthrough role in "Mad Men". She parlayed that into a film career that includes appearances in "I Don't Know How She Does It", "Detachment" and Drive, where she acted as a lethal criminal. In 2010, she won the vote as Best Looking American Woman by Esquire magazine. Hendricks has been credited, having an ideal figure of a woman.
