Charles Randolph is a popular American producer and screenwriter for movies and TV. He took birth in Nashville, Tennessee. Charles was a professor of Philosophy and cultural studies. At the age of 33, Charles spent a weekend in LA giving lectures of Philosophy at the Southern California University. After meeting someone who worked for the famous Farrelly brothers, Charles got inspired to attempt screenwriting. In 2016, Charles was awarded the Empire Award for Best Screenplay, the Critic’s Choice Award for Best Screenplay, the BAFTA Award for Best Screenplay, and the Academy Award for Best Writing and Screenplay for writing the screenplay for TV series The Big Short with Adam McKay. Charles spent more time than usual when he started adapting The Big Short. It took him approximately six months' time, of which three months were spent to write it all down and the next three months to decrease the complexity. More time was taken to do some more research and innovate different ways to not confuse the audience. Overall, Charles believed in his work.
