Stephen Amell is an actor who played the role of Oliver Queen, a rich womanizer turned mobster in the television series, Arrow which is based on the character of Green Arrow in DC Comics. He was born on May 8, 1981 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is the cousin of the Canadian actor, Robbie Amell. Stephen got married on December 25, 2012 to American actress and model, Cassandra Jean in Caribbean. Their second wedding ceremony was held on May 26, 2013 at New Orleans. They have a daughter named, Mavi Alexandria Amell.

He appeared for three episodes on the 4th Season of the drama series, Queer as Folk and bagged the role of Liberty Ride in 2004. He was also part of the LGBT-oriented soap, Dante’s Cove. He appeared in the first season of the show and later, he was replaced by Jon Fleming. In 2007, his guest-starring performance in the Canadian series, ReGenesis gained him a Gemini Award. In the same year, the actor received nomination for the Best Ensemble Cast Category at the Gemini Award, for essaying the role of Billy in the half-hour Canadian series, Rent-a-Goalie. He played as Matthew in the Canadian television sitcom, Da Kink in My Hair and appeared on four episodes of the show in year 2007 to 2009. Stephen also played as Nicholas Harwell in the family drama series, Heartland which is based on Lauren Brooke’s book with the same title. In 2011, Stephen acted as Joran Van Der Sloot in the television film, Justice for Natalee Holloway. He was also part in the season 3 of the comedy-drama series, Hung and bagged the role of Jason, a busboy who later become a prostitute. He played as Jim in the 4th season of the teen drama series, 90210.

In October 2011, the filming for New Girl’s Christmas episode has ended, where he played the role of Kyle. Later, he made a recurring role as Scottie in the medical drama series, Private Practice on ABC. In 2012, he was starred in Arrow where he was nominated many times in different awarding events. This 2014, Stephen was roped in to do a role in Whatever Makes You Happy which is based on William Sutcliffe’s novel of the same name. The filming will start on 2015.

Aside from doing Arrow, Stephen is currently doing the television series, ‘ The Flash Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ where he played the same role as Oliver Queen and the show is a sequel of Arrow and based on the character of Flash in DC Comics.

He also voiced Green Arrow’s character in the game, Injustice: Gods Among Us in 2013 and Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham in 2014.
