Aravind Adiga is an Indo-Austrian author who has contributed many books to the world of literature. He was born in Chennai (earlier called Madras) on 23 October 1974. Before the age 16, he lived in a small town called Mangalore which is found in the southern part of India. His interest in reading started when he was 10, he read many comic books, and children detective series named Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. He did his schooling from Canara High School, Mangalore and later in the year 1990 he went to St. Aloysius College to obtain the Secondary School Leaving Certificate. After that, he was hired by TIME and wrote many articles for it. He worked there for three years and then resigned from his job to become a freelance writer. He is currently living in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Mr. Aravind's first book published in the year 2008 called The White Tiger that was nominated for 40th Man Booker Prize and became the award-winning book in the same year in the category of fiction which talks about the struggle of the Indian class in the world of globalization.

The main protagonist in the novel was a village boy named Balram Halwai. His book received a much heart-warming response from the readers. He also published short stories named Between the Assassinations. His second novel released in the year 2011, titled the Last Man in Tower, of fiction genre published by Harper Collins, India. The story of this book talks about the Mumbai real estate situations.
