Larry Swerdlove is an American writer, director and author from Ventura, California. He is the husband of television writer Cindy McKay. He graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a Bachelor's degree in Arts. He has been writing and directing children's television programs for over 20 years. “Muppets Kids” is an American animated television series created by Marvel Productions and written by him along with his wife.
Other shows were created by him and his wife, including Disney's “Chip an’ Dale Rescue Rangers”, Children's Television Workshop’s Saturday morning ABC series Cro, Clifford the Big Red Dog, & Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks. Swerdlove single-handedly wrote episodes of the 1990s versions of The Pink Panther, The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, Extreme Ghostbusters, Mummies Alive, and RoboCop: Alpha Commando. In 1993, he directed and wrote the film "The Skateboard Kid". He produced Mikhail Baryshnikov's "Stories from My Childhood", voicing animated versions of Old Russian fairy tales and folk tales. He also sold a comedy pilot to NBC.
