Kim Hyuna, often called by the mononym, “Hyuna” is a multi-talented South Korean. She has mastered several art forms and is a singer, dancer, songwriter and a model. She is a part of Korean girl group “4Minute”, the duo “Trouble Maker” and also sings solo vocals. Hyuna was born in Seoul in South Korean. Hyuna’s parents are divorced. Her dad is 56 and mom is 46 now. She has two brothers.

She started her schooling in Choongam Middle School and also joined the Kore High School of Music and Arts. Currently, she is pursuing her studies in art culture at the Konkuk University. Hyuna’s real name was changed to Hyuna by her Chinese teacher. She was initially a part of “Wonder Girls”, another Korean girl group, later signed up with Cube Entertainment and finally joined “4Minute”. Her solo debut “Change” was a huge success and sold about 2 million copies. Hyuna was also spotted in Psy’s internationally success album “Gangnam Style”.

As a part of the “Wonder girls”, Hyuna was seen in the album “The Wonder Begins”. She had to quit later due to her parents’ concern over her health. She is also a part of other albums like “Dancing Shoes” with Lee Gi-kwang, “Wasteful Tears” for which she even rapped, “Love Class” and “Bitter Sweet” with Brave Brothers. Her single musicals include “Tomorrow”, “Change”, “Outlaw in the Wild” and “Love Parade”. Hyuna’s first mini album was “Bubble Pop” and included five songs. She even composed and wrote the lyrics for the songs of her second album “Melting”. She was also a part of a co-ed unit with Hyunseung and their album was titled “Trouble Maker”.

In 2013, she became the fashion model for the fashion brand “G by Guess”and a spokes-model for Toyota Corolla. In 2014, she was selected as the global model for the cosmetic brand “Tony Moly”. By August 2015, she released her fourth mini album “A+”. She has won so many awards like “Digital Bonsang” for Red, “Streaming Award” for “Change”, “Best Solo Dance Performer” for Bubble Pop, Red and Roll Deep, “20’s Performance” and “Best Korean Female Artist”.

Kim Hyuna or better known as “Hyuna” was born on June 6, 1992, in Seoul, South Korea. She is a South Korean singer, dancer, songwriter, and model. She attended Choongam Middle School and Korean High School of Music and Arts, and she has received special admission in Konkuk University, majoring in Art and Culture. BEAST’s ‘Dongwoon’ and Hyuna are said to be the best of friends, as they attended the same Konkuk University and share the same birthday (though Dongwoon is a year older).

She began her music career as the main rapper of Wonder Girls, a girl group in 2006. She was an active part of the group’s television show MTV Wonder Girls and also co-hosted two shows before quitting as she wasn’t keeping well. She remains good friends with other Wonder Girl’s members though. In the year 2009, she collaborated with Lee Gi-Kwang and also rapped for Navi’s song “Wasteful Tears” and was featured in the same music video.

In January 2010, Hyuna put down her first step as a solo artist; she released the single “Change” which gradually climbed the music charts. Ten days later, the video was given a 19+ rating by Ministry of Gender Equality and Family but eventually Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation stated that it would be viewable for all audiences. She went on with the release of a digital single “Love Parade”, “Outlaw in the Wild”, and also wrote, composed and rapped a duet with G.NA “Say you love me.”

In 2011, Hyuna ranked 17th on Billboard’s ‘21 under 21’. She also appeared in a Korean version of “Dancing With The Stars” and also released her first mini album “Bubble Pop”. She appeared in the record-breaking “Gangnam Style” music video. A cameo by ‘Psy’ could be seen in her second mini album Melting’s title track “ Ice Cream Click to look into! >> Read More... .” The music video was already creating sensation and within four days of its release it achieved the fastest ten million views on YouTube.

In 2013, Hyuna launched charitable activities “KISS OF HOPE”. Hyuna and Hyun Sueng made a remarkable comeback as Trouble Maker. They released “NOW” from their Chemistry EP, which received positive reviews from fans and music critics alike. In September 2014, she became the new face for the cosmetic brand ‘Tony Moly’. CUBE released her music video for her latest single “Because I’m the best” on its official page on YouTube. She has a tattoo on her left shoulder which says, “My mother is the heart that keeps me alive” and also “Tempus” engraved into her inner right arm.
