Ashton Kutcher is a prominent American model turned actor, producer and investor. He was born as Christopher Ashton Kutcher on February 7, 1978 at Cedar Rapids in Iowa. His father, Larry M. Kutcher, came from a Czech lineage and works in a factory while his mother, Diane Finnegan Kutcher, came from Irish, Czech and German lineage and works at Procter & Gamble. Ashton was brought up in a Catholic household together with her sister, Tausha and his fraternal twin brother, Michael who undergone a heart transplant when they were young. Michael is also suffering from cerebral palsy and his cardiomyopathy made their life gradually nerve-racking.
Ashton studied at Washington High School at Cedar Rapids on his first year before they shifted to Homestead in Iowa. From there, he went to Clear Creek Amana High School. During his high school days, he started to act in school plays and developed his passion for acting. When he was 16 years old, his parents had a divorced that worsened his situation and lead him to do something that is wrong. He tried to steal money and got arrested. Later, he was condemned of 3rd degree burglary and sentenced to probation for 3-years and community service for 180-hours. Because of this, he lost his girlfriend and he was disliked by the school in their community. But this event made him changed and straightened his life. Later, he studied at University of Iowa in 1996 and planned to major Biochemical Engineering with an aim to find a treatment for his brother. To continue his studies, he worked at the cereal department in Cedar Rapids and sometimes, he will sold his blood to earn money. Until one day, he was asked by ‘The Airliner’ (model scout) in Iowa City and recruit him in a modeling contest called, Fresh Faces of Iowa. He took the 1st place and dropped out of college. He got the chance to go to
after winning a free trip and joined the IMTA or International Modeling and Talent Association convention. In 1998, he lost at the IMTA competition but later, he signed a contract with Next, a modeling agency based in New York. He has done various commercials such as Calvin Klein and became a model in Milan and Paris.
Subsequently, Ashton decided to relocate to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. He auditioned and was cast in the American TV period sitcom, That ‘70s Show which was aired on Fox channel from year 1998 to 2006. He did several film roles and donned various comedy roles like, ‘Dude, Where’s My Car?’ in year 2000. He played the main lead role as Tom Leezak in the box-office romantic comedy film,

. He was also in the lead role as Simon Green in the comedy film, ‘Guess Who’ together with
in year 2005. Ashton was also notable for his performance in the family film, Cheaper By The Dozen in 2003. The actor also made his name by performing as Evan Treborn, a disputed young man in the psychological thriller film, The Butterfly Effect in 2004. This film made it to become a box-office success besides receiving some negative reviews.
Aside from acting, Ashton also try his luck in producing. In 2003, Ashton, together with Jason Goldberg produced the reality television series, Punk’d which was aired on MTV channel. This is a hidden camera practical joke which will be thrown to the guest celebrities. When they are Punk’d, it means they were victimized by the team’s prank. He also produced the reality shows like Beauty and the Geek and Adventures in Hollywood. He is also the producer of The Real Wedding Crashers on NBC and the game show, Opportunity Knocks. Most of the shows were produced under his own production banner, the Katalyst Films which he runs together with his business partner, Jason Goldberg.
The versatile actor appeared in movies like Bobby, What Happens in Vegas, Spread, Personal Effects, Valentine’s Day, Killers, No Strings Attached, Jobs and a lot more. He also did television shows like Just Shoot Me, Grounded For Life, Miss Guided, Men At Work and Two and a Half Men. He is the Executive Producer of shows like Room 401, The Beautiful Life, Spread, Rituals, The Real Wedding Crashers, Forever Young and more.
Ashton acted in several films and television shows and most of it becomes a hit. He also produced many shows and has proven his mettle as an actor and producer. Aside from that, he also ventured and invest on different businesses. He is the owner of Dolce, an Italian restaurant and Geisha House, a Japanese restaurant located at Atlanta, L.A. and New York City. He also build the DNA Organizations and later called as Thorn against sexual exploitation on children. Ashton got married to popular actress,
on September 24, 2005 but had a divorced in 2012. Later, he dated his co-star in That ‘70s Show,
and they got engaged on February this year. They have been blessed with a lovely daughter named, Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher last September 30, 2014.
